Refund policy


Domestic Returns

Our domestic return policy lasts 30 days. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a return or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unopened, in their original packaging, and in the same condition you received them.

To request a return, please email orders@geraldinedistillery.co.nz with a photo of the item(s) and proof of purchase. We’ll then email you a prepaid return courier ticket to print and attach to the original packaging. Once the goods are received by Humdinger, we’ll process your refund, deducting $30 (incl. GST) to cover both the original and return shipping costs.

Refunds will be processed within 10 business days to your credit card, or if you paid via bank deposit, within 10 business days of receiving both the returned item(s) and your bank account details.

International Returns

We do not offer returns on international orders due to the high cost of shipping.

We already charge a reduced international shipping rate, as we don’t pay GST or excise tax on overseas orders. Therefore, if an order is returned to us due to unpaid import duties or excise taxes, an incorrect delivery address, or any other reason attributable to the customer, we cannot issue a refund.

If the return is due to a packaging issue or another fault on our part, we’ll offer either a full refund or a replacement product.

To request a refund or exchange, please email andrew@humdinger.nz with a description and photo of the issue along with your proof of purchase. A prepaid return courier ticket will be provided.

Once we receive and inspect the item(s), we’ll notify you by email whether your refund has been approved. If approved due to a product fault, you’ll receive a full refund. If the refund is approved for any other reason, $30 (incl. GST) will be deducted to cover original and return shipping.

Refunds will be processed within 10 business days to your credit card, or within 10 business days of receiving both the goods and your bank account details if you paid via bank deposit.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received your refund within 10 business days:

  1. First check your bank account again.

  2. Then contact your credit card provider — it may take some time before the refund is officially posted.

  3. Next, contact your bank. Processing times can vary.

Return Shipping

All returns must use the prepaid courier ticket supplied by Humdinger. If you choose to return items at your own expense using a different courier, our return and refund policy does not apply.
