Distillery Tours
Open year-round at Geraldine Distillery Co
Step behind the scenes and experience how our award-winning gins are crafted. Join a guided tour to learn about our story, discover the distillation process, and enjoy a tasting of our handcrafted gins.
Whether you’re a gin enthusiast or simply curious, it’s a unique way to connect with New Zealand’s craft spirit culture.
Tours take place inside our still room and are far more interactive and in-depth than our tastings, which are held in the retail area.
Tastings are also only designed for small groups (max. 8 people) to drop by and try before they buy, rather than as a planned experience.
With more time allocated, tours give you the chance to dive deeper into the craft – from flavour profiles and botanicals to any questions you may have.
A booked tour also guarantees your time slot, whereas tastings are casual, drop-in experiences. We don’t take bookings for tastings, so there may be a short wait depending on how busy we are.
Yes, as we need time to prepare for the tour.
Bookings can be made anytime up to 30 minutes before the tour starts, subject to availability.
Drop-ins bookings from our cellar door are ok, provided you drop by at least 30mins before the scheduled tour time to allow us time to setup.
Absolutely! As a little thank-you for joining us, you’ll get $10 off your order after the tour.
We require at least 2 people in order to run a tour
No we don't sorry, due to staff availability
You can book a tour up to 150 days in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan your visit.
Absolutely. Both our distillery and Cellar Door are fully wheelchair accessible.
All ages are welcome. However, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
We don’t offer non-alcoholic alternatives, but water is always available during the tasting.
Sorry, dogs aren’t allowed inside – except for registered service dogs.
However, we do have a spot outside where dogs can be securely tied up, with a water bowl to keep them comfortable during your visit.
Yes, photography is welcome! If you share your photos on social media, we’d love for you to tag us.
We don’t serve meals, but we’re happy to recommend some fantastic local spots to eat in Geraldine.
Food also isn't permitted inside our still room where the tour takes place too.
You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before the tour. Please note: a $20 admin fee applies to cancellations.
