So what is a Bourbon Barrel Aged Gin?

In general, gin doesn't have to sit in barrels as long as whisky to pick up flavours from the wood. What is fascinating is that our barrels originate from the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, USA — a lot of history before we even start the ageing process.

This limited release Humdinger Gin is made by ageing a blend of our award-winning Dry and Citrus Gins in one of these bourbon barrels for three months before bottling.

Once opened, you'll be greeted by citrus and oak aromas bursting out of the bottle, followed closely by a hint of bourbon.

When tasting, candied citrus opens this gin, followed by a spicy oak body and a long, complex finish. The base gin is a blend of our Humdinger Dry and Citrus gins.

For sipping, we recommend drinking it neat over ice or with a splash of water — or paired with East Imperial Thai Ginger Ale.
