At Humdinger, we love keeping things fresh, surprising and a little bit daring. That's why alongside our core range, we craft limited release gins that capture the moment — whether it's the flavours of the season, a special collaboration, or a one-off experiment that simply had to be shared.

Following the Seasons

Our summer releases tend to lean bright and citrus-led, celebrating fruit at its peak. Each year we play with a different citrus variety, offering something new for returning fans. Past releases have included the punchy zest of our Rangpur Lime Gin, the exotic, fragrant Yuzu Gin and, most recently, our Ugli Gin made with Gisborne Ugli fruit (now sold out) — each delivering sunshine in a glass.

Winter, on the other hand, calls for depth, warmth and a little spice. Our most recent winter release was Pekapeka Gin, a richer, more brooding spirit made for cosy nights in — it has since sold out. Previous winters have also featured barrel-aged experiments, such as our Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Gin, which drew character from a European oak Pinot Noir barrel.

Collaborations & Custom Creations

We also love partnering with others who share our passion for flavour. For NZ Gin Day 2024, we teamed up with fellow distillers to create the New Zealand Collaborative Dry Gin — a one-of-a-kind release that captured the spirit of our collective creativity.

From time to time, we also craft custom gins for businesses, designed to reflect their brand personality in liquid form. It's one of the most exciting ways we get to push the boundaries of gin-making, creating something truly unique.

Our limited release gins are small-batch by nature. Once they're gone, they're gone. Why We Do It
