Pink Gin
The Humdinger Pink Gin is a sweet, fruity, easy drinking gin using locally foraged botanicals to capture the essence of the varied South Canterbury terrain and produce.
Local blackcurrants give this gin it's beautiful colour and fruity flavour, and we've used lots of them! In the bottle this Pink Gin is darker than most, so once you dilute it with your favourite mixer it retains a vibrant colour.
Rosehip foraged from the Rangitata adds some nice subtle floral notes, that complement the fresh, melon-like flavours of Spaniard that we foraged from Mount Peel.
A touch of local honey balances out the tarntness of the blackcurrants, resulting in a super-local and delicious Pink Gin.
As most Pink Gins are drunk sweet, this pairs best with Schweppes Tonic Water, Lemonade.
If you don't have a sweet tooth then East Imperial Tonic Water works fantastically.
To help preserve the natural colours bottles should be stored in a cool, dark place and may need to be shaken before serving.
