I come from a family of sloe gin makers. My mother and my aunt used to make it in England almost 100 years ago now. When I first came to New Zealand, you could not find it anywhere. We first visited Humdinger in Geraldine when they were just setting up the premises, before the big move to the new place was even a flicker in their eyes. We tried the regions they had on offer, with the delicious citrus being a fave. First forward 3years, and my partner bought me the double pack of Sloe gin for my birthday, and followed that up with the citrus and the Rangpur Lime for Xmas, &2gorgeous glasses too!
All of the products are wonderful and smooth and high-quality. Unfortunately my mother cannot drink alcohol any more, but I am enjoying the Sloe Gin on her behalf on a regular basis. It really is superb. Finely crafted. Can’t wait for the next batch ♥️ Ngā mihi nui Humdinger!

Beautiful smooth liqueur, looking forward to sipping over ice on a cold night by the fire. But really enjoyed the friendly welcoming and informative conversation instore, very positive and didn’t make you feel stupid as a novice gin drinker. Will definitely be back and bring our visitors to Geraldine for this experience 🤍

A beautiful smooth gin that is amazing on its own or with a mixer. My only complaint is that the bottles need to be bigger as it’s too easy to drink and disappears quickly 😀
